Dehydration - can grow into numerous serous illinesses and conditions. It occurs when your body loses too much fluid. This can happen when you stop drinking "water" or lose large amounts of fluid through diarrhea, vomiting, urination sweating through exercise. Not drinking enough fluids can cause muscle cramps, headaches and constipation among other things. You may also feel faint.
Usually your body can reabsorb fluid from your blood stream and other body tissues. But by the time you become severely dehydrated, you no longer have enough fluid in your body to get blood to your organs, and you may go into shock, which is a life-threatening condition.
Many people walk around with feelings that they do not attribute to dehydration. Headaches, dry chapped skin, dry mouth, thick saliva, decreased urine, dark yellow urine, dizziness made worse when you stand up, sleepy or irritability, flushed face, physical weakness. These are just a few of the early to mild signs of dehydration.
The human body contains over 75% water when well hydrated. Water breaks down food, keeps your body temperature balanced, hydrates your internal organs and keeps your skin soft and elastic. We can live for weeks without food as evidenced by those who fast, but we can only a few days without water.
Here's the latest on water. Did you know that when you change your water, you can change your life. Alkaline water is water that hydrates and heals the body from within. Want more information? Click > HERE.
